Bet Aviv's Fundraiser

Eat Chili, Help End Homelessness
Buy chili meals or donate to help Bet Aviv win the challenge and to make a difference in our community!
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
For several years, Bet Aviv has been part of the Chili Cook Off to benefit Bridges to Housing Stability, a local non-profit that works to prevent and end homelessness.
This year's live event in the spring was cancelled, and the event will be virtual. But the benefits will be real: money to help Bridges help the homeless in Howard County. In the past year, Bridges helped 237 households find or retain stable housing, providing advice and distributing $547,801 in assistance. This year, with Covid-19, the needs are greater than ever.
There are two ways you can help Bet Aviv win the Chili & Challenge while helping the homeless:
- You can make a donation by clicking the green square on the right.
- You can click here to purchase chili meals for curbside pickup at Tino's/The Periodic Table on Sunday, Sept. 13.
The congregation that raises the most money for Bridges by Friday, Sept. 11 will win the challenge. About a dozen churches, three synagogues and a mosque are participating.
And there's more:
- On Sept. 13, Bridges will host a 30-minute online Virtual Chili & Challenge Watch Party at 1 pm. Learn more about Bridges and see who wins the challenge.
- You can bid on 40 amazing gift baskets in Bridges' Virtual Auction between Sept. 6 and Set. 16. All proceeds support Bridges. The first 30 people to register to the auction will win a free appetizer from Texas Roadhouse.
