Our 2025 Awardees!

Advocate for Change Award: Maryland Secretary of Housing & Community Development Jake Day

In the 2024 general assembly, Secretary Day and the Moore administration passed one of the most substantial housing packages seen in Maryland in decades to address the housing crisis. His leadership and advocacy for policies that increase access to safe, stable, and affordable housing have impacted countless individuals and families.

In his own words: “Working in partnership, we will take bold action to ensure greater access to affordable housing - and in doing so, make work, wages and wealth more attainable to all Marylanders.” (Capital Gazette, January 2024)

Children's Champion Award: Tracy Broccolino, Howard County Community Action Council

Through Tracy’s leadership, she has made a lasting impact on children in Howard County. Her prior leadership of the Early Childhood Education Program during the COVID-19 pandemic ensured our children in Head Start and Pre-K had the resources they needed to thrive. Through the Howard County Early Childhood Advisory Council, she has ensured children have access to high quality programs and have healthy minds and bodies ready to learn.

Pillar of the Community Award: Sheehy Toyota of Laurel

Sheehy Toyota of Laurel has made remarkable contributions to community organizations throughout Howard County and beyond. Their support of Bridges, Laurel Advocacy and Resource Services (LARS), Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), our educators, and our children through supply drives exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and generosity that strengthens our community.

VIP Attendees will have access to the 6-7 Networking Hour presented by Baltimore-Washington Financial Advisors with our sponsors and awardees.
