Just Jazzin'
November 4, 2017 @ 7:00PM — 11:00PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)
Listen to the sounds of national and international jazz artists Shirleta Settles and Wake Campbell as you are served heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks in a classy club atmosphere with fellow patrons who know the critical needs of our homeless community. We are excited to announce our Second Annual Just Jazzin’ fundraising event for Bridges to Housing Stability will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Owen Brown Interfaith Center in Columbia Maryland. Over 150 people attended our inaugural event in 2016 and we expect 2017 to sell out early. This event provides critical funding for Bridges to Housing Stability to support our clients from homelessness to housing. Funds raised cover the gap when assistance is needed to secure and keep a stable a home for homeless families or families on the verge of homelessness in Howard County.

Wake Campbell
Returning by popular demand, we are proud to present accomplished smooth jazz saxophonist, song writer and producer Wake Campbell. Wake was introduced to jazz while in high school where he fell in love with the music of John Coltrane and Charlie "Bird" Parker. He transitions from soprano, to alto, to tenor with ease and takes you along for a ride you soon won't forget. Wake studied jazz at Howard University before heading to Europe. In the armed services he was a member of the Army band system before returning to DC.
Wake has traveled the world and continues to work with some of the most talented vocalists, instrumentalists and songwriters in the DC metro area. If you're a fan of artists like Grover Washington Jr,. David Sandborn, Kirk Whalum or Ronnie Laws, you will definitely enjoy the sounds of Wake Campbell.
