Bridges to Housing Stability's 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off at the Dar Al-Taqwa Islamic Center in Ellicott City has been postponed. The event will be rescheduled during Fall 2020 and we hope you will still be able to be a part of this year's event! Join nearly twenty local congregations and over 300 attendees to raise funds and awareness for affordable housing solutions in Howard County!

The Chili Cook-Off began as a competition between four congregations and during our 10th cook-off brings together members of nearly 20 diverse congregations, invited local dignitaries, Bridges' supporters and other community members for an informal afternoon of lighthearted competition to determine which congregation will earn the coveted “Golden Ladle”. The Chili Cook-Off provides critical funds to support Bridges’ programs that help Howard County residents experiencing homelessness or on the verge of homelessness find and maintain stable housing.

This free event provides an opportunity for people of different faiths who are passionate about addressing the increased demand for housing support in light of the growing population that are in need. Attendees will enjoy great food and vote for favorite chili by placing cash and checks in the congregation teams’ “Tip Jar”. At the end of the afternoon, the Golden Ladle will be awarded to the congregation that brings in the most tips. Amid the food, fun and fellowship, there will be client testimony, awards presented by our exclusive judges' panel, acknowledgement of our community sponsors, and opportunities to support Bridges' by purchasing raffle prizes and silent auction items.
